I'm thinking about going down to the JCCS show this year. But not in my colt, in my newly acquired and recently running 1983 Honda Civic 1500S.
Is anyone else making the trip?

With the way the show is trending more towards the 80’s/90’s cars, I don’t expect to attend this show as often as I have in the past. No disrespect toward your civic, but IMO if you want to call a car *classic*, it should at least have chrome bumpers. With my cars in storage in Oregon, and still being in Silicon Valley, I for sure won’t be going this year.

I know how you feel, I used to say at the very least, it needs to have some sort of chrome somewhere lol. My 1980 civic has chrome bumpers, but they moved to the plastic cover in 82/83. I like the body style so much, that it's tolerable. I just read that the new age limit is going into the 1990s now, so that is a little turn off for me. But I think there will be enough classics there just out of habit, for it to be a good show.

I do find it interesting that it seems like the focus has shifted towards 80/90s just as things started getting popular for older imports in general(american diecast, shows, etc). I've always wanted to go to JCCS but I wouldn't make the trip if it turns into what RADwood usually offers.

I went about 4 years ago, and it was super cool. Got to see a lot of cars I'd never see otherwise. Hella long trip from the middle of Oregon though,...damn. But a cool adventure. It was really fun to go see the queen mary ship too since it's right next door. I guess we'll see how it feels this time around.

Definitely let us know how it goes, with it being a new venue this year.
