Resin 72 Colt Model

Post by Hyper_pak » Tue Jan 19, 2021 7:24 am

I have a friend down here in Texas, Bama Brown. Radio talk host with KVET-FM, Dripping Springs. He is a pretty neat guy. He has been on Iron Resurrection TV show and he is building homes for First Responders on his property. We are both Don Hardy fans. Anyway he told me he had something for me and this showed up in the mail today. It's a scale model of my Colt! I was blown away as I unwrapped the packing. Who does that anyway? And oh by the way, we are face book friends, I have never met him face to face.

That's sweet. Your friend is a good man.

I have a model of a Lancer rally car. Still haven't built it.

On a slightly related topic, I made a small diorama for my father. It was to commemorate his accomplishment as this country's first performance rally champion. This photo was used as a starting point, and I modified a Hot Wheels version of a Datsun 510 to resemble his Colt. I'll try to find a photo of the finished product.

Thanks, I would like to see what the finished display looks like!
And congrats to your Dad! (A little late I know)

It looks better further away. Close-up of a little, tiny, car easily shows the flaws.

Its like I want to build it, but I also don't want to even open it! For now it will travel the local shows in the trunk! Thank You!

Glad you are happy. Just don't let it get too hot in the box. Bad things happen!
Ask me how I know. Rest assured yours has lived a good life.
Stay safe Nate. Stan
