In honor of the Munich beer pub, the brewers from Munich Brew Mafia have created a beer that is very festive thanks to the dark notes of chocolate and coffee. The impressive 8.0% alcohol content also contributes to the fact that Anniversator is more of a festive beer than an ordinary bock beer.Bock beers are strong, full-bodied beers in themselves. The Munich Brew Mafia has gone one better and turned this intense beer into a true beer specialty. Anniversator presents itself in a deep dark mahogany color in the glass and forms a small, lightly browned, hazelnut-colored head. On pouring, wonderful aromas fill the nose: soft caramel meets roasted malt, with a hint of dark chocolate and a hint of vanilla. The first sip reveals a whole range of malty flavor components, accompanied by a fine hop tartness. Melt-in-the-mouth chocolate, spicy liquorice, soft caramel and a hint of dried fruit pamper the palate. Anniversator has a complex flavor profile that ends in a long-lasting bitter finish. The Munich Brew Mafia has outdone itself with this creation: A complex, multi-layered beer with a well-integrated 8.0% vol. that we find quite delicious, and not just for festive occasions.
